For high-performance hearing protection at moderate noise levels, use the 3M™ PELTOR™ X2 earmuffs. The X2 series features a modern design with narrow cups. They are available in headband, helmet-mounted, and neckband versions. The headband model has an electrically insulated dual headband that reduces heat build-up on the top of the head. Depending on user preference or application requirements, helmet-mounted versions can be either dielectric (electrically insulated) or fitted with durable metal frames.
The X2 earmuffs are color-coded yellow, making it easier to select the correct protection level within the X series. The headband version features an electrically insulated dual headband designed to reduce heat build-up on the head, while the stainless steel wire with plastic coating makes it the most durable headband solution in the 3M range. It is both strong and comfortable: the wide flat headband with soft plastic covering provides even pressure across the head. The absence of exposed metal makes the product dielectric, ensuring electrical resistance for use in environments with risk of sparks or electrical charge. Carefully designed sliders allow easy adjustment on the head. Wide soft ear cushions provide comfort, while narrow cups improve compatibility with other PPE.
For different user needs, the helmet-mounted version is available as P5 with the same dielectric protection as the headband model. If electrical insulation is not required, P3 helmet-mounted and neckband versions are available. Ear cushions and foam inserts, available as Hygiene Kits, can be easily replaced when worn or damaged, extending product service life.
